GTCO adquiere la división ITD de CalComp
ArtiGraf se convierte en Distribuidor Mayorista Especializado
de GTCO en España
La continuidad del suministro y servicio de las archi-famosas Tabletas
y Digitalizadores CalComp está asegurada con la adquisición de la División
ITD de CalComp por parte de la compañía americana GTCO (diga "yi-ti-co).
ArtiGraf se convierte en Distribuidor Mayorista Especializado, con
lo que seguirá suministrando, a través de la red de Distribuidores, las Tabletas
y Digitalizadores de la marca CalComp, así como los Escáneres.
Así
mismo, incorpora nuevos productos, como los Digitalizadores Flexibles Roll-UpII y la estación
de medición QuikRuler de GTCO, que tanto éxito está teniendo mundialmente.
GTCO corporation fue fundada en 1975 para diseñar. fabricar y comercializar
sistemas de digitalización de alta precisión y alta resolución. Durante
estos años GTCO ha fabricado, instalado y dado servicio a más de 50.000 sistemas

CalComp Signs Agreement to Sell Input Division to GTCO
ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1999--CalComp Technology
Inc. (Nasdaq:CLCP - news) and GTCO Corp. (GTCO) Wednesday announced the signing of a binding
agreement in which GTCO will acquire CalComp's Input Technologies Division (ITD).
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected
to close in February.
ITD, with headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz., manufactures an extensive
line of award-winning graphics tablets for artists, Web designers and the entertainment
industry. ITD's digitizers are primarily used in CAD/CAM/CAE, mapping and cost-estimating
applications, while large-format scanners are used in document management.
In addition, through leveraging its expertise in digitizer technology,
the division supplies components to major manufacturers of pen-based computers.
GTCO, a privately held company, is a world leader in the design and
manufacture of large-surface x, y input peripherals used in construction cost estimating,
geographic information systems, computer-aided design applications, garment design applications,
medical diagnostic systems and electronic whiteboards.
